But what is a White Chocolate and Matcha Green tea Cacaotine?
A cacaotine is a roasted cocoa bean coated in a special crunchy caramel and covered with chocolate. The new White Chocolate and Matcha Green Tea Cacaotine is a unique mix of new taste sensations and flavours:
On the outside, the fresh vegetal touch of Matcha Green Tea and the smoothness of the White chocolate.
Then, inside, enjoy the crunchy caramelised roasted cocoa bean and its full flavour.

Our Cacaotines are exclusively made from the best quality Criollo beans from Madagascar. They are packed in cute green hand-woven straw boxes.

Why a this White Chocolate and Matcha Green Tea Cacaotine?
Quai Sud launched the first Cacaotines in 2002 which had a huge success. Gourmets and chocolate addicts welcomed this new tasty and original delicacy. At that time, only two sorts were available: the Caramel Cacaotine (a whole cocoa bean coated in caramel) and the Chocolate Cacaotine (a whole cocoa bean coated in caramel and dark chocolate).

Soon, a new range of spicy Cacaotines were launched: chocolate and cinnamon, chocolate and ginger, and the famous chocolate and hot pepper Cacaotine.

September 2006 welcomed the White Chocolate Cacaotine.

This year’s choice is the unique combination of the cocoa bean strong aroma and the smooth white chocolate mixed with the green freshness of Matcha green tea.

The hand-woven straw boxes in which our Cacaotines are packed enable the people of Ambatondrazaka (in the Tamatave district, Madagascar) to live outside the rice season.

Based in Toulon, on the French Riviera, Quai Sud is specialised in the creation and the distribution of innovative gourmet specialities.
The adventure started in 1996, on the street markets in the South of France, with a simple market stall offering various vanilla products from Madagascar (whole beans, powder, extract, sugar). With the price of the vanilla going up, we had to diversify our activity and developed a complete range of flavoured sugars with flowers, with spices or fruits…
Creativity being our second nature, we soon started to offer a comprehensive range of flavoured products: salts, cocoas, coffees, teas and herbal teas, spice mixes, cocktail preparations for rum or wine, cocoa beans specialities…
